Oyster Chowder

Ingredients

  • 1 can oysters (12 oz.)
  • 4 Tbsp. chopped onions
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 4 cups boiled potatoes, cubes
  • 4 cups scalded milk
  • 1 cup corn
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. flour

Procedure

Fry onion in butter until delicate brown, add oysters and liquid. Add potatoes, salt, pepper, corn, and milk and bring to a boil. Mix flour with water to make a smooth paste and add to the chowder. Stir gently until it thickens.
